Working Together for a Stronger Spruce Grove

Real Leadership. Shared Values. A City That Grows With Purpose.

Serving as your Mayor has been one of the greatest honours of my life.

What makes this community so special isn’t just our parks, our neighbourhoods, or even our progress — it’s our people. Spruce Grove is filled with residents who care deeply about where they live, who step up to help each other, and who want to see their city succeed — together.

This platform isn’t a list of campaign promises. It’s a reflection of what I believe: that when we focus on people, work with respect, and lead with purpose, good things happen.

Growing With Purpose

Spruce Grove is growing — and how we grow matters.

We’ve taken important steps this term to strengthen our community development standards and plan for a city that works well, feels connected, and reflects the kind of place we want to live. The Municipal Development Plan, Transportation Master Plan, and Community Standards Bylaw all reflect that work — and I’m proud of how far we’ve come.

Growth should support people. It should lead to neighbourhoods that are safe, walkable, and welcoming — with parks, pathways, housing options, and services that meet people where they are in life.

That’s the kind of growth I’ll continue to support.

A City That Works for You

City Hall should work for the people it serves.

That’s why we’ve focused on improving how we deliver services — making it easier to get information, streamlining permits, and building a stronger customer service culture across the organization.

Behind the scenes, I’ve worked closely with our leadership team and front-line staff to make sure Spruce Grove continues to be responsive, transparent, and financially responsible.

Because how a city treats its residents — and how it treats the people doing the work — matters.

Strengthening What Makes Us a Community

The heart of Spruce Grove isn’t at City Hall — it’s out in the community.

It’s in the volunteers who coach, fundraise, and show up. It’s in our service clubs, sports organizations, faith communities, and local leaders who care. I believe our role as a city isn’t to overshadow that work — it’s to support it, remove barriers, and make space for people to lead in their own way.

We’ve always been a city shaped by community effort — and I’ll keep working to honour that spirit in everything we do.

Working Better, Together

Collaboration has always been at the core of how I lead.

Whether it’s working with mayors across Alberta, partnering with Stony Plain and Parkland County, or building relationships with provincial and federal officials — I’ve always believed that respectful collaboration leads to better results.

That same approach applies here at home — with developers, business owners, educators, first responders, and everyday residents. Our city works best when we work together.

Respecting Your Tax Dollars

We all feel the pressure of rising costs — and City Hall needs to be part of the solution, not part of the problem.

Over this term, we’ve focused on responsible budgeting, long-term planning, and doing more with what we have. We’ve kept services strong while staying mindful of the impact on families and local businesses.

I’ll keep making careful, balanced decisions that respect the trust you’ve placed in us — and that reflect your priorities.

Safe. Active. Connected.

A great city is one where people feel safe, included, and connected to the place they live.

That’s why I’ll continue to support community policing, emergency services, and public safety initiatives built on trust and prevention.

It’s also why I care about recreation, parks, transit, and gathering spaces — because staying active and connected isn’t just good for individuals, it’s good for community.

My Commitment to You

I’m not running to make headlines — I’m running to keep making a difference.

Spruce Grove is my home. It’s where I grew up, where Jodie and I are raising our daughter, and where I’ve spent nearly two decades listening, learning, and doing my best to serve.

My commitment to you is simple:

To lead with integrity.
To listen with respect.
To work hard — without ego or agenda.
And to keep showing up with the same purpose I started with: to help this city thrive.

There’s a lot to be proud of — and even more to look forward to. With steady leadership and a strong community behind it, I believe Spruce Grove’s best days are still ahead.
